    Zuba

    Zuba

Zuba is thrilled to announce the sneak peak pre-release of their 4th CD South of Eden, which is being sought after by various major labels at this very moment. This pre-release record will only be available at Zuba shows on this tour.

South of Eden is the culmination of Zuba’s soul and funk roots and their new evolution of melodic song writing. This album is a brilliant collection of 14 songs. Liza’s sultry vocals and ripping guitar, tight three part harmonies, the Zuba horns, and a bad ass rhythm section work together to form their unique sound. Soulful ballads, swampy folk, acid jazz, funk, and dance floor jams all find a place in the Zuba universe.

Zuba has a song in this summers’ smash hit movie, “There’s Something About Mary” and on the Capitol Records soundtrack album. In addition, they have 3 songs on the upcoming movie, “Say You’ll Be Mine” by critically acclaimed director Michael Corrente. In the past, Zuba has had songs in the Farrelley brothers’ feature “Kingpin” and in Warren Millers’ ski adventure “Snowriders.”

Through playing an average of 175 shows a year, Zuba has developed a strong national following that has helped them sell over 18,000 units of their past 3 albums on their own label, Cool Therapy Records. Highlights in Zuba’s career have been opening for music legends such as James Brown, George Clinton and The P-Funk All Stars, Willie Nelson, The Funky Meters, and Ziggy Marley. They have performed at the Bumpershoot festival in Seattle, and they participate in the legendary One World Music Festival every year. Surely its time for the rest of the world to discover what Zuba fans already know.
