Blending funk with rap, hip-hop and psychedelic rock and roll, the band has created a unique sound which they have dubbed "The Funkinmental Experience." When Amp3.com discovered Sticky Pistil, they offered the band one of twelve spots on the Emerging Artists stage at Woodstock '99. The band has also played the Taos Solar Music Festival, and opened for bands like Spearhead, James Brown, George Clinton and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
