![]() Pete Miser Camouflage is Relative (Ho Made Media) Reviewed by: Mark Fisher I have been a Pete Miser fan for a long time and this album even makes my jaw drop. Ladies and gentlemen?Pete Miser has arrived. Camouflage is Relative is simply a masterpiece and any fan of hip hop, dance, DJ, or creative music in general will not want to miss this arrival. Camouflage is Relative opens with the tongue and cheek dance hits "So Sensitive" and "Scent of a Robot". The latter poses the intriguing question "What if I were a robot and didn't know but then I found out by accident?" Only from the mind of Pete Miser. From there the album gets more serious with the heavy lyrics of songs like "Table Scraps", "About Time", and "Politics Schmolitics". The album finishes with some musically lighter sounding tracks in "It Rains in New York" and "All I Do". Pete Miser always sounds comfortable on his albums but on this album, Mr. Miser seems to give you an even more up close and personal look into the things that are on his mind in 2004. This album has it all: creative beats, tight raps, hot samples, and probably the best lyrics I have heard on any album this year. Pete Miser is one of music's true gems and I hope that with Camouflage is Relative the world takes notice. This man is simply unstoppable so stop living in the dark and pick this album up right away. Key Tracks: "Politics Schmolitics", "Scent of a Robot", "So Sensitive" |
