About the Band

Todd McCloskey
Raised in Aspen, Colorado, Todd grew up exploring the world through skiing, backpacking, and music. The combination of outdoor experiences, mandolin expertise, singing, and songwriting inspires Todd to create music that highlights the magical essence of the Rocky Mountains. Todd’s diverse musical talents make him a driving force on today’s jam band scene. He is thrilled to take his mandolin performance to new heights with TMBB.

"Todd beats his instrument with the rhythmic fervor of Sam Bush."

David McCloskey
David has always been immersed in the music world. From his work as a youth on the piano at the prestigious Interlocken School of Music to his current position as the Banjo instructor at the University of Colorado, David has been recognized as a musical talent. He combines his experiences in the outdoors like climbing El Capitan in Yosemite Valley into his lyrics as a songwriter. He is recognized as a major innovator on the banjo by fans and critics alike.

"Banjoist, David McCloskey is a major talent…
reminiscent of the master"
- Béla Fleck / Aspen Times

Steve Roseboom
Steve is a very talented bassist who has played with Leftover Salmon’s Drew Emmitt, Vince Herman, and Mark Vann, and Hot Rize’s Pete Wernick. The original bass player in Boulder’s beloved Runaway Truck Ramp, Steve now adds an essential component to the sound of the McCloskey Brothers Band.

"Bassist Steve Roseboom rocks the songs on their hinges."

Dan Menchey
A multi-faceted musician, Dan has been playing the drums for eighteen years. He also plays guitar, and bass, sings, and writes songs. Before he joined the McCloskey Brothers Band, he was touring the United States with Mucis.
