Inasense sounds like what might happen if the members of Rusted Root,
the Dave Matthews band, and some obscure country group were all thrown
in a blender, lost in the Israeli Desert for a few years, and then relocated
to New York City.
Sound enticing? Not nearly as enticing as this four piece "Desert Rock"
band are if you get a chance to catch them live.
Touched by a wealth of sounds and styles, Inasense melds together blues,
rock and roll, various Middle-Eastern influences and even a touch of
jazz to bring out their unbelievably unique style.
Inasense was born in Israel in 1990 when lead singer Noah Chase started
jamming with local Israeli legend C Lanzbom who is a celebrated guitarist
(appearing on countless albums recorded in Israel). Noah and C began
focusing on fusing the exotic sounds of the Middle-East with the rock,
country and blues music they had been raised on in the United States.
The two moved back in 1991, settled in New York City, and began to spread
the sound of Inasense to American audiences.
Their newest (and 2nd full length release) "The Ride" is truly a ride.
This new album combines studio and live material which is both visceral
and varied, and has generated incredible feedback both nationally and
internationally.
In concert, Inasense showcases their unique influences and strengths,
which fuse together to create a spiritual and rhythmic atmosphere. Inasense
produces an almost trance like effect on their audience with their connection
of voice, mind and spirit. Inasense captivates audiences and brings
them back, with friends (and more fans) in tow each time.
Come see them for yourself. The Inasense experience is like no other live experience out
there today.
