CINEMA8 - CINEMA8
"Cinema8" is the self-titled debut release from Cinema8. The band is the vision of singer/songwriter Michael Sauri, who also plays piano and is also the lead guitarist on this ten-track collection. Influences include The Beatles, 70s era Aerosmith, arena rock and 80s guitar gods. The band has been touring extensively. In February 2002, Cinema8 backed ten United States Olympic Athletes who sang ìAll Iíve Got.î In October, a video for the guitar powered moody ìBleedî is scheduled for release and should give this well deserving band plenty of exposure. Cinema8 is a guitar-driven rock CD. It is cinematic with a variety of moods and styles. Sauriís lyrics are a mixture of poetry, mythology and compositions that people can identify with. Michaelís vocals can start from a ìwhisper and climax at a scream in songs that are packed with both muscle and melody.î The instrumentation throughout the CD is solid and creates intriguing soundscapes to complement Sauriís musical montages. ëThoughts of Youí is a very visual song with jamming guitars and vigorous vocals. ëLoverí is sexy with heavy almost metal guitars, a steady beat and plenty of drive. Cinema8 is a panorama of energetic music that ebbs and flows from hard rock to melodic. Cinema8 is picture perfect!
