This is what John Mayer wishes he could be. You've got the grooves for the jam-band fans, but you've got something else, as well. Something that is sorely missing from most of today's popular crap. SONGS!!! This guy can write. Sort of a cross between Michael Penn and Glenn Tilbrook, but with enough (forgive the old-time expression) OOMPH, to keep the "youngins" interested. I like the record and I am happy that people are still trying to "write" as opposed to just trying to "hook'em in." Good record.
